  • Audiometer

How to do a hearing screening with an audiometer?
You can do a hearing screening with an audiometer in two ways. Firstly, you can make a quick audiogram with four frequencies and no lower than 20 dB to get a quick overview of the hearing thresholds. Secondly, your patient can make their own audiogram by performing an automated test if available on the audiometer.

  • Behind-The-Ear (BTE)

All the electronic parts in the hearing aids are in the housing that sits behind your ear. A customised earmould and a tube direct sound into your ear. You can easily control volume and select programmes on most BTE’s. Due to its robust design, this style is especially recommended for children. BTE hearing aids can provide more amplification than smaller devices due to the stronger amplifier and the larger battery. This style is available in several colors for hair and skin tone matching.

  • Behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids

BTE hearing aids are worn behind the ear. This type of hearing aid is in a case. It connects to a plastic ear mold in the outer ear. These hearing aids are generally used for mild to severe hearing loss. They are typically used for young babies and children. Poorly fitted BTE hearing aids can…

  • Body aids

Body aids are attached to a belt or pocket and connected to the ear with a wire. They are often used when a child can’t hear anything at all (profound hearing loss). Or they are used if the other types of hearing aids don’t help.

  • Canal aids

These fit directly in the ear canal. They come in 2 styles: In-the-canal (ITC) aid and completely-in-canal (CIC) aid. Canal aids are custom made to fit the size and shape of your child’s ear canal. They are generally used for mild to moderate hearing loss. But their small size can make them harder to remove…

  • Completely-In-Canal (CIC)

CICs are custom made for each ear; however, these hearing aids are restricted to persons with ear canals large enough to accommodate the insertion depth of the instrument into the ear. Also, the CIC style uses a very small battery that requires good manual dexterity. This type of hearing aid is not suitable for persons with severe hearing losses. Depending on the size and shape of your ear, a CIC hearing aid can fit deep inside the ear canal, making it almost invisible. Our CIC hearing solutions are fully automatic – so you can hear clear and natural sounds with minimal or no intervention. CIC hearing aids can be removed via a small extension cord.

  • Conventional Hearing Aids

Hearing aids, which use conventional electronics, have been the mainstay of the hearing aid industry for 40 years. Conventional hearing aid electronics use basic analog technology to provide quality, amplification to patients with a wide range of hearing losses. These hearing aids have as their defining feature the characteristic of adding the same amount of…

  • Digital Hearing Aids

Digital Hearing instruments represent the most advanced technology available today. These instruments actually contain a computer chip that is programmed by a computer. This offers the best way currently available to match a particular hearing loss with the most prescriptive amplification needed. Complete flexibility and amazing fine-tuning capability are among the many benefits. This unique…

  • Functions of Tympanometry

A middle ear infection, also known as otitis media
    Fluid in the middle ear
    A perforated tympanic membrane
Issues with the Eustachian tube that connects the upper throat and nose to the middle ear‌
The test can be performed every few weeks for some months to determine how much fluid is in the middle ear over time. Adults also undergo the test as part of a routine hearing test to establish any problems with the middle ear.‌

A tympanogram provides a graphical representation of the functioning of the eardrum in response to changes in air pressure within the ear canal. ‌

When sound waves activate the eardrum, part of the sound is absorbed, passing to the middle ear. The other part of the sound is reflected. With this information on the tympanogram, the doctor can analyze the middle ear functions, especially the Eustachian tube function.

  • Hearing Aids for Young ones/ Children

Reasons & Complications of Hearing Loss:

60% of childhood hearing loss can be  preventable.

The hearing loss in children is often identified during a test performed in the newborn hearing screen which is done about 24-48 hours after birth. But some children develop hearing loss as they get older.  Early intervention After the hearing loss is suspected or diagnosed in your child, will have less impact on your child development milestones

Hearing plays a very crucial role in the development of speech, language, communication & learning of children & young adults, But it is difficult with children who are suffering from hearing loss like it can impact the receptive & expressive communication skills & can result in less accomplishment in academics & can also hinder their socializing with their families & friends.

Solution to your child hearing loss

An audiogram test & detect the level of hearing loss in your child or young adult so that we can guide you to choose the best hearing aid which will help in the development stages of your child life.
Depending upon the type of hearing loss, we offer a wide range of all the latest hearing aids based on different types of technology. It is always good to have early detection of hearing problems in newborns to ensure the sooner resolvency, you can do that with _________hearing screener with a powerful combination of

    • the automated auditory brainstem response (ABRIS),
    • distortion product OAE (DPOAE), and
    • transient evoked OAE (TEOAE) hearing tests.

OEA testing is always good for reducing testing time.

  • In-The-Ear (ITE)

ITE hearing aids are suitable for most types of hearing losses. They are usually small like an eartip and sit in the outer portion of the ear canal. Depending on the size of the ear canal an in the ear hearing aid may be relatively discreet. When you are fitted for an ITE, the shell…

  • In-the-ear (ITE) hearing aids

These come in plastic cases that fit in the outer ear. They are generally used for mild to severe hearing loss. They can be used with other technical hearing devices. These include the telecoil, a device used to improve sound during telephone calls. But their small size can make it hard to make adjustments. ITE…

  • Invisible-In-Canal (IIC)

The IIC’s are the smallest hearing aid models on the market. Invisible-in-canal (IIC) hearing aids use the ear’s natural shape to localize sound. The custom-made shell is made to fit deep into your ear canals, making it virtually invisible. IIC hearing aids fit so comfortably in your ears that you may forget you are even…

  • ITC (In the Canal)

A little bigger than the CIC, the ITC hearing aids also fit far into the ear canal. Canal hearing aids use a slightly larger battery than the CIC style. This style is used for mild to moderate hearing losses.

  • ITE (In the Ear)

These hearing aids can be used for a wider range of hearing losses. Due to their larger size, ITEs can accommodate larger sound amplifiers and more features such as a telephone switch. They are also easier to handle.

  • OAE Screener

Your ear is made up of three parts—the outer, the middle, and the inner ear. The OAE test is used to find out how well your inner ear, or cochlea, works. It measures otoacoustic emissions, or OAEs. These are sounds given off by the inner ear when responding to a sound. There are hair cells in the inner ear that respond to sound by vibrating. The vibration produces a very quiet sound that echoes back into the middle ear. This sound is the OAE that is measured.
If you have normal hearing, you will produce OAEs. If your hearing loss is greater than 25–30 decibels (dB), you will not produce these very soft sounds.
This test can also show if there is a blockage in your outer or middle ear. If there is a blockage, no sounds will be able to get through to the inner ear. This means that there will be no vibration or sounds that come back.
